No matter if he was eating, drinking, sleeping, plotting, reading. He always sat on that tile. Out of all the tiles in this small, dark shed, the ninth one was the most important. It was next to the crack in the wall that leaked light from the outside. It was also the lid to where he hid his books that he borrowed when he would sneak out to the underground library.The way of the elf was so strange. They put him in a fragile shed with guards guarding the front door. These guards would leave and come back at very specific times. It was easy for Ariv to gently tear the walls off the back and leave into the dark forest. Even stranger, no one caught him.Despite this discovery, he would still confine himself to the shed. He knew he wouldn't survive for long in the forest if he was alone.At least, if he was alone.
